About the course

This is an exceptional opportunity for tuition in a very small group by one of the leading recorder players and tutors of our time.  This course is designed for players at and above grade 8 who want to improve their technique.  Players are expected to be very good sight readers and to be able to play all sizes of recorder.  Each day there will be a session on technique and other sessions where everyone plays together and also one to a part sessions in smaller groups.  The objective is to improve your technique, whilst having fun exploring a variety of music in a friendly, lively and challenging atmosphere.

The timetable is flexible and will vary according to the needs and wishes of those attending, although there are usually 4 one and a half hour sessions each full day.  The early part of each afternoon is free for relaxation, exploring Lyme Regis or informal recorder playing.

The course starts at 11.00am Saturday and runs until lunchtime on Wednesday 19th September.  Bed and breakfast is available on Friday for £20 per person, if you wish to arrive early.
