Helen studied the recorder at Trinity College of Music under Philip Thorby, graduating in 1993 with a first class degree and the Post-Graduate Certificate in performance with distinction.

She now combines performing on the recorder with teaching the instrument and conducting recorder ensembles and orchestras.

She has released a solo CD, "Helen and Friends".

About the course

This course is designed for players who are able to read music well and have a good grounding in recorder playing. The objective is to have fun exploring a variety of music in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

The timetable is flexible and will vary according to the needs and wishes of those attending.  The early part of Saturday afternoon is free for relaxation, exploring Lyme Regis or informal recorder playing.

The course will start with coffee at 11.00am on Friday and will run until lunch on Monday.  B&B is available for £20 per person on the Thursday night for anyone who wants to arrive early.

Prices

Prices are as follows:

Single occupancy    £425

2 players, sharing    £335 each

Couple sharing, one playing    £540

A £90 deposit is required per person on booking, with the balance to be paid at least one month before the course.
