Moira Usher

Moira Usher studied at Trinity College of Music playing cello, recorder and piano and has taught music in schools for a number of years.  She now works as an Educational Consultant in local schools and is a qualified Irlen Diagnostician.

Moira teaches on a number of recorder courses across the country including the Recorder Summer School. She is a member of the National SRP Committee.  She conducts the Suffolk Branch of the SRP and the Eastern Recorder Orchestra (EROS) and a local community choir. She arranges both choral and recorder pieces and has had several arrangements published. Moira enjoys music from all periods with a particular interest in modern compositions.

 

About the course

This course is designed for players who can play all sizes of recorder, from descant to bass, and willing to try great bass and contra (which can be borrowed) and can sight read well, even one to a part. You will be playing a mixture of music from all eras. The objective is to have fun exploring a variety of music in a friendly atmosphere.

The course starts with tea at 2.30pm on Monday, and will finish at 11.30am on Thursday.

Prices are as follows:

Single occupancy    £400

2 players, sharing    £310 each

Couple sharing, one playing    £505
